Truly at the heart of Ottawa, IL, Jeremiah Joe Coffee has been a faithful part of their customer’s daily routines. Their deep love for their community is what compels them to deliver exceptional coffee with even better service. Their flagship location in a rehabbed 1950s department store needed a remodel after nearly 15 years of business. Their original logo was refreshed, their in-house roasted coffee was given new packaging, and the space was designed to be more inviting and of better service to their customers. Business growth made it possible to expand their offerings and presence in the city. In 2020—in the middle of a pandemic—the owner took a risk and purchased a worn-down ice cream shop with a drive-thru that was teeming with possibility. Leaning into the 1950s and funky vibe they’re known for, we designed a complimentary space with its own flare and same welcoming quality. We helped streamline the menu to be more conducive to customers on-the-go and assisted in marketing their delivery service to bring coffee to those stuck at home. Custom gift boxes were developed to share the coffee love while people were separated during the pandemic. Last but not least, we expanded their merch line along with custom illustrations (and plenty of brand personality) to better connect with their customers while supporting a business reeling from COVID restrictions. As was the case with countless small businesses in 2020 (and beyond), we were proud to play a part in the innovation and adaptability required in these crazy times.
Fun fact: Jeremiah Joe was also Andie’s first official employer way back in the day.
